oh...my.......goodness

The Stafford kids truly know how to keep us on our toes. I didn't want to post too quickly after Thad's special birthday post, but I couldn't hold this one in. Here is the latest discussion with our lovely girls...

Olivia (try to read it if you know her cute way of speech): "Brady (Bwady) is a boy, and I am a girl"
Me: "Do you know what the difference is between boys and girls?"
Olivia: "Brady has a boy private, and I have a girl private"
Kate: "Brady has a penis"
Olivia: "Yeah, Brady had a peanut"
Me: "Brady has a peanut?"
Oliva: "Yeah, peanut. And I have girl privates"
Kate: "Yeah we have...I don't know what they are called. Well, we have two ovals. Here let me show you."
Me: "That's okay Kate. Thanks though"

Please let me know that your kids are as open in discussing whatever with you.........PLEASE!

I'm trying to compose my laughter first! You are so funny!
I just went back to the birthday post... and the part that got me was where Thad wrote back to you... so sweet! Do you realize you and I have July birthdays and Rick and Thad have November birthdays? Crazy huh?

Um, yeah. All the time. The best is when they share with other people! In first grade last year Nolan's teacher emailed and said he asked a "chubby" girl in their class if maybe her tummy was big because she had a baby in it? And he was SERIOUS. He felt so bad when his teacher told him it was unkind... I was mortified.

That is a common conversation in our house. It's funny because my boy used the word peanut and whenever he (actually all of us) heard the word peanut in conversation we automatically thought of the wrong thing...

I am a very open and honest parent, but I haven't been able to spit out the "V" word for some reason. It just doesn't get discussed. But, ovals??????? Wow..not what I ever thought.

I love it!!! I also loved that Thad commented after his birthday blog. One more reason to love your husband.

That is too funny! Isabelle is all about discussing her "gina." I try to clarify vagina, but the 'va' gets lost somewhere.

She will randomly say, "Mom, you have boobs. I don't."

She also pointed to a zit on my face once and said, "you have a nipple on your face."

Fun stuff.

Hilarious!! Two ovals and a peanut...that could be the title of your "mommy memoir."

Grant stood at the toilet tonight before bath time and said, "Hey mom, look!" Then he shook his hips so his penis fwapped back and forth...impressive.

Ross calls his private his "queenis." Seriously! It cracks me up every time.

I forgot! I love the qweenis thing. That was a hoot when he did that. Our kids are TOTAL Ingersolls.
