I went to the doctor today. Last week when I had gone in, my doctor wasn't going to check me, but I made him. Absolutely nothing was going on, so I was too disappointed to write anything. This week I saw the NP, and she said I am dilated to a one and about 50% effaced. Okay it's not much, but it's better than nothing. She said something about my outer cervix could be stretched to a two, but it closes the further in she checks--huh?
This final stretch is so difficult. I am very crabby, tired, sleep deprived, and feeling funky pressure in my pelvis. I am swelling like crazy, and continuing to gain weight. I am afraid that my greatest weight gain will take place with this pregnancy.
The end is near, and in reality, I can't believe that soon we will have another little baby in our lives.

Even a little dilation and effacement is progress. Good for you! We'll be thinking of you and crossing our fingers for the next little while!
My goodness, I can't believe the time for baby Stafford's arrival is almost here!!
Hang in there. I KNOW how bad the last part of pregnancy sucks - the aches and pains and sleepless nights. Yuck.
The best thing you can do it just get through one day at a time.
Good luck and keep us posted with ANY news!
Oh honey....I'm thinking about you in these final weeks. Hang in there...can't wait to meet the new little Stafford.
Love you,
Kris
You are almost done!!! Then you will get to snuggle another piece of you!!! Just think about those first sounds they make, all the little grunts and squeaks. The way they first smell and how soft their skin is. I'm jealous! We'll be thinking of you.
It is the last part that is the worst!! I swear it is God preparing you for no sleep by torturing you that last month. When you want sleep the most but can't get comfortable.
